My friends roommate stole cable and they got busted. The tenant owner (my friend) is not a US citizen.?

He is an LPN and has worked really hard to get his license. He is not responsible for this but is the one going to court. He is a green card holder. What will happen? Will he be able to get a job as an LPN? Will he lose his license? Will he go to prison?
